Seacoles Group was founded by Otis Thomas with a clear purpose: to bring high-quality, community-centred food enterprise to Manchester's neighbourhoods — and to demonstrate that Caribbean food businesses can be professional, profitable, and deeply rooted in the communities they serve.
Operating from Kath Locke Centre in Moss Side, our café has become a daily fixture for the local community — a warm, welcoming space where people come for breakfast, lunch, and everything in between.
Under the leadership of CEO Simon Smith, we've grown from a single café operation into a full-service catering enterprise, pitching and winning contracts across Greater Manchester while remaining firmly rooted in the grassroots community work that started it all.
Our menus draw on the rich traditions of Caribbean and African-Caribbean cooking — slow-braised meats, aromatic rice dishes, bold spicing, fresh vibrant salads — updated for modern tastes and dietary needs without losing the soul of the original.
We're proud to be a Black-owned, community-first enterprise in a city that celebrates its diversity. Every meal we serve is a statement that great food and social purpose can go hand in hand.
